about chef
Chef Jin was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea. After he finished his bachelor 's degree for architecture in Korea, Jin decided to study design in the U.S.A.
In order to pay for the art school, he started washing dishes at a restaurant.
It wasn't too long until he found himself working in the kitchen along side the chefs, fully appreciating the similarities between art and cooking.
He continued to work for many restaurants for another 10 years - at Sushi Tomi, Morimoto Napa, Izakaya restaurant, and a private French restaurant, among others.
Today he is passionate about sharing modern Korean cuisine, not just Korean BBQ. He cooks with local ingredients and is inspired by other traditions he's had experience with over the years.
